As a photographer, I have always been drawn to lifestyle photography - capturing real-life moments in a way that tells a story and showcases the beauty and richness of everyday life. So when I was granted the opportunity to photograph the Her Wilderness Co. North Carolina Quail Hunting event, I knew it would be an incredible opportunity to combine my love of photography with my passion for supporting women-owned businesses and getting outdoors.

As the photographer for this adventure, my goal was to capture the essence of the experience - the excitement of the hunt, the camaraderie between the women, and the beauty of the natural surroundings. I wanted to create images that would inspire other women to get outdoors and

embrace the thrill of adventure.

The morning of the hunt was filled with anticipation and excitement as the group gathered at Black River Plantation in North Carolina. The women were dressed in their hunting gear - sturdy boots, rain jackets, and orange vests and hats - and eagerly loaded into the hunting vehicles to head out to the fields. Once we arrived at the hunting grounds, the energy was palpable. The women and the hunting dogs worked together as a team, scouring the fields for quail.

The sound of gunshots echoed through the air as the women took their shots, and the dogs eagerly retrieved the fallen birds. As the day went on, I found myself completely immersed in the experience. I was inspired by the grit and determination of these women, and I was in awe of the natural beauty surrounding us. The sky-high trees, the rustling leaves, and the crisp fall air created the perfect backdrop for the hunt.

As I looked through my camera lens, I knew that these images would be more than just photographs. They would be a visual representation of the strength and beauty of women who are unafraid to pursue their passions and who show the world what women are capable of.

Ultimately, the Her Wilderness Co. North Carolina Quail Hunting event was more than a photography job. It was an opportunity to align my values with my work and capture the essence of an experience embodying the spirit of adventure. I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of this event and to have had the chance to showcase the power of women supporting women doing badass things outdoors.
